About the RTI Act

Educational institutions recognized by the government, including colleges, fall under Section 4(1)(b) and Section 2(h) of the RTI Act. They must provide information unless exempt under Section 8.

PD Law College complies with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines and has a designated Public Information Officer (PIO) to handle RTI queries.

The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, empowers citizens to request information from public authorities, promoting transparency and accountability. Citizens have the right to access information regarding the functioning and decisions of the institution.
