Anti Ragging Committee
Prabha Devi Law College
Prabha Devi Law College is firmly committed to fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust, and dignity among all students, faculty, and staff. The institution upholds a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form — whether verbal, physical, psychological, or online. Ragging is considered a serious violation of the student code of conduct as well as a criminal offence under the UGC Regulations and relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code.
Our college believes that learning can flourish only in an environment that is safe, friendly, and conducive to growth. Therefore, any behaviour that humiliates, harasses, or intimidates another student will invite strict disciplinary and legal action.
The Anti-Ragging Committee at Prabha Devi Law College has been constituted in accordance with UGC and State Government guidelines. The committee functions to monitor compliance, create awareness, receive complaints, and take immediate corrective measures to prevent and eliminate any possibility of ragging on campus or in hostels. Regular awareness drives, counselling sessions, and orientation programs are conducted to ensure that every student understands their rights, responsibilities, and the consequences of engaging in ragging activities.
